How do I manage and update the displayed content?
There are two ways to create and update content on Fraimic:
1. Using our simple website fraimic.com/upload, you can effortlessly browse a curated art gallery, upload your own images and access images you've uploaded in the past. The site supports multi-user management, making it ideal for the whole family. It also auto calibrates, crops and orients your image to ensure a perfect fit printing to Fraimic.
2. Using our proprietary ""Voice-To-Vision"" AI art enginer powered by OpenAI. Simply tap the bottom right corner of the matte, tell fraimic what you want to see and tap once more. A beautiful piece of art will be printed based upon your voice prompt alone!
What frames will Fraimic fit in?
We've designed Fraimic to easily pop out of the included dark walnut wood frame and into any frame you desire! Fraimic was designed to be a smart e ink canvas, not a smart Frame.
Is the site free to use? Is subscription required to use it?
All basic features—including uploading images, cropping, albums, slideshows, the Met public domain discover page and managing the frame—are free. AI art generation is optional and comes with 100 free creation credits that auto replenish every year. Users can also purchase extra credits at anytime through their account settings.

This thing is terrific! The colors are better than I expected and the voice prompting is fun. I just read the docs on integrating it with Home Assistant so I will probably be tinkering all weekend.
This is one of my favorite products I have ever purchased. We have had it up for 3 hours and have had a blast changing images. My wife who is an art teacher didn’t believe it was digital. Her first impression was I bought a framed piece of art. It really exceeded my expectations.
The box came perfect. Double boxed. I had a little setup issue - for sure follow the directions to sign up via the QR code on the frame - not the website. And the battery inside was disconnected and had to reconnect it. After that I was golden. It is amazing. I am using it to show modern and pop art that I don’t have the wall space for anymore. The battery will last a long long time even though I rotate images automatically every 6 hours. The colors look great and I don’t even think it is a display. Super happy and want a smaller one for my office. There is a lot I can do with this display.
This frame is quite stunning - an amazing blend of art and electronics. Set up was a breeze and I LOVE seeing my family photos slowly come to life on this display. Extremely happy that the Kickstarter campaign delivered exactly what they promised.
The only downside, or learning curve I should say, is figuring out exactly where to tap in order to use the Voice to Vision feature. I ended up wasting a few credits because I wasn't tapping in the correct spot and the frame would pick up additional words for the prompt. I also burned a few credits by accidentally activating the frame when I was moving it into it's new frame. Not a huge issue, although. Can't wait to explore all the possibilities with this new tech!
Gorgeous large display. The Voice to Vision is a game changer. My kids absolutely are amazed by what they come up with that it became part of our nighttime routine alongside their bedtime stories.
What a great gadget - the interactivity is fun and people are impressed and excited to see their ideas come to life. Most of the time I show art on my frame; if you are sympathetic to the limitations of e-ink and feed it the right image (or use AI to refine eg a painting) it looks amazing on the wall, and I can change it whenever I like - brilliant!
Easy to setup. Been having fun with the ai generation, and my own pictures slideshow was simple to upload and cycle through.
I beta tested the smaller frame.
I thought it was fantastic.
I loved it.
Then I hung the larger frame.
It's amazing. It's never leaving a prominent spot on my wall.
I use both Voice-to-Vision as well as uploading images. It always goes smoothly. The wood frame is simple but attractive.
I am not a highly technical user, and I have found it straightforward to unpack and set up and use.
All told: I'm impressed.
Example image was a voice to vision image when my kids were coming back from 10 days away. I asked it to make a welcome back picture in the style of Minecraft using colors that pop and hiding a penguin in the background with the text "welcome back, kids". (My son loves penguins.)
The packaging was really top notch - Apple-esque if you will. The product looks great. I had a hiccup with account registration, but support got it sorted quickly. I’m having lots of fun swapping the photos out with a mix of family photos as well as just crazy crap that cracks me up. Overall super happy with my purchase!
Here is my voice-your-vision output from the prompt: a shark in a cook’s hat in the style of Hervé Maury.
A great way to confuse your small children. I took a picture of my kids and I before we got home and remotely threw it up on my frame. I insisted I used daddy magic but they didn't want to believe me.
Also, wonderful for those of us who never got a tattoo because we knew we wouldn't love it forever. This is going to save me tons of money over the next 10 years!
It is hard to hang the large frame solo, get a friend!
I backed this project on Kickstarter and am very happy I did. I ordered 2 large frames and could not wait for them to be delivered.
They were delivered about a week ago and my wife and I have been having fun with them ever since. She is thinking up new and creative ways to mess with our family around the holidays and I have the ability to find new and compelling/appealing art to put on our walls without having to get it framed and ready to hang.
These frames are fantastic and the FRAIMIC team has done a great job at creating a product that I hope will last for many years and allow us to have some great art and fond memories of messing with family!
I’ve been waiting on my Large Fraimic’s for a while as an early backer, so finally seeing it in person made the wait worth it. It’s such a cool product, the frame looks genuinely premium, and it immediately made the space feel more intentional instead of just adding another screen to the room.
What I like most is how naturally it fits into the space. When it’s displaying art or photos, it feels more like part of the décor than a piece of tech. The large size has real presence without being overwhelming, and the image quality makes everything look polished and personal (and I can make it whatever I want no more buying new stuff)
As someone who enjoys creating and experimenting with visuals, Fraimic gives those pieces a better home than leaving them buried in a camera roll. It makes the room feel more personal, and it’s definitely something people notice when they walk in.
We are almost 1 day in and are completely mesmerized by the Large Canvas. We bought two but we only opened one as one of the kids isn’t back until tomorrow (we’ll save the surprise!). The setup is very intuitive and we completed it very quickly. Our test so far has been to display an image from the photo library and then a prompt to display a watercolor-style image of my favorite drummer playing on stage. I like it so much I stopped experimenting. The color saturation and depth is so realistic. It has been a long wait, but Fraimic does an amazing job with its product and with managing their customers’ expectations. We look forward to our Canvases becoming centerpieces of our decor.
The wait is over! I've barely started creating art with my new Large Fraimic but love it already. Once connected to your Wi-fi the setup is straight forward. I had to reset it once it was out of the box, and charge it, but it was very easy.
We have art hanging all over our house. We enjoy buying new original artwork regularly. With Fraimic, I may save a little money and continue to create and use MET pieces for something new to view. Or just upload a few of my own family or vacation pictures to enjoy. There are many ways to put this "artwork" to great use.
Imagine the possibilities! This is the perfect piece for my house. Being able to dynamically change the ambiance in my room is a game changer. The added benefit of API access allows me to automate the changes on the fly. The large display is crisp, clear and perfect for my space.
I cannot say enough amazing things about Fraimic. I took a chance on a Kickstarter campaign for a digital E ink frame. Who knew what would happen. I waited patiently for the Fraimic to arrive and I can say with absolute delight after creating my first image.... I am BEYOND impressed and delighted at my support for Fraimic and for my purchase!
I am backer from Belgium. I had to pay a bit more for the import since the product comes from USA. At first I was in doubt if I would buy the large frame. I am SO HAPPY i bought this frame. It looks amazing and is a ton of fun. Also everyone of my family and friends are positive about it.
most fun product i own!
I was worried that the lower DPI would result in a more pixelated image. It’s imperceptible! It looks incredibly elegant! Combined with my 13" Framics, it creates a wonderful spot for displaying art.
Best birthday gift ever! And the entire family is enjoying it. So happy I went with the larger size. I think I will buy a gallery light for this piece as well, since it does rely on ambient light otherwise. There’s no adjusting the display brightness but this is what keeps it looking like an actual painting rather than a digital picture. I’m going to have so much fun creating with this!!
This display is big! The frame is really well built and quite inconspicuous, looks like a real analog frame. The initial setup is almost perfectly smooth and has some good example pics that highlight the capabilities of the display. I have no stomach for AI art, and fortunately the microphone that receives AI prompts can be easily turned off. As with all similar frames, it takes a moment to update the picture (~30s) and some colors work better than others. Because this is a large frame and expected to be looked at from little further, the resolution is plenty good and much less of an issue then the smaller 13" unit.
