How do I manage and update the displayed content?
There are two ways to create and update content on Fraimic:
1. Using our simple website fraimic.com/upload, you can effortlessly browse a curated art gallery, upload your own images and access images you've uploaded in the past. The site supports multi-user management, making it ideal for the whole family. It also auto calibrates, crops and orients your image to ensure a perfect fit printing to Fraimic.
2. Using our proprietary ""Voice-To-Vision"" AI art enginer powered by OpenAI. Simply tap the bottom right corner of the matte, tell fraimic what you want to see and tap once more. A beautiful piece of art will be printed based upon your voice prompt alone!
What frames will Fraimic fit in?
We've designed Fraimic to easily pop out of the included Frame and into any frame you desire! Fraimic was designed to be a smart e ink canvas, not a smart Frame.
Is the site free to use? Is a subscription required to use it?
All basic features—including uploading images, cropping, albums, slideshows, the Met public domain discover page and managing the frame—are free. AI art generation is optional and comes with 100 free creation credits that auto replenish every year. Users can also purchase extra credits at anytime through their account settings.

A beautiful piece of tech-art
Voice control is a game-changer - no fiddling with apps or buttons. Just speak and watch your vision come to life on the e-ink display. Image quality is crisp, and the frame looks elegant on the wall.
Setup was easy and uploading from any device without an app is exactly how smart home tech should work.
From my son's drawings, through gallery originals, to my own creations - whatever you're in the mood for. The only thing I'd wish for is more credits in the package.
Perfect for anyone who loves minimalist design and wants art that changes with their mood.

Stunning. Better than expected. I thought I wouldn’t be sure about the AI feature, but when I came back from a CSD parade I said “make a colorful picture of the CSD in Munich in pop-art style” and the result was mind-boggling good. Love the frame and quality.
Welcome to the future! Now you no longer need to have only one picture in a frame on your wall. Fraimic is amazing! I purchased my Fraimics from Kickstarter. The pictures look like paintings and people are not able to tell that this is a display. They believe that this is a real painting. Those who I showed the Fraimic to are always amazed that not only can you upload your own image, but also tap the frame to tell the canvas if you want to modify the image or create a new image. It's nice that the battery can last a long time, and it's not required to have a cable always connected to keep the frame powered. I can't wait to receive the Large Canvas!
Below are a few prompts that I used to create the attached images:
Jungle with a couple monkeys playing in the trees, waterfall, mountain in the background and white fluffy clouds.
Cinematic picture of a lake with sailboats, mountains in the background, pine tree forests, and birds.
A whale in the ocean leaping out of the water during the day. In the background is a futuristic city with tall buildings neon lights, flying cars and other futuristic elements.
Have fun creating your own pictures!
Getting started was a bit of a challenge, and I actually thought the unit was defective when I unpacked it, since the screen didn't look like it was working properly. When I tried to follow the guide printed on the inside of the box lid, things didn't go as expected, and there was a slight discrepancy between the instructions on the box lid and those in the manual — the manual said to charge the device first, so that's what I did. Fortunately there was a "Reset" button on the back, and after 2 attempts I managed to get it up and running. So now I have a working Fraimic. I'd suggest adding a section to the FAQ page explaining how to troubleshoot this kind of issue — for example, how long you need to hold the reset button.
I also had a funny experience. The first thing I did was upload a photo of myself, and then I generated an AI image where I said, in Danish: "A picture of a summer beach with people swimming." The AI decided, entirely on its own, to include me in the new picture — I hadn't asked for that, so maybe I need to learn to be more precise with my prompts. Fraimic then apparently second-guessed itself, decided that might have been wrong, and generated another image — which ended up costing me 2 points even though I'd only made the request once. Oh well.
So far I'm quite happy with my Fraimic, but I unfortunately have to take off one star, since if I hadn't been technically inclined, I probably would never have figured out the solution myself.
May I suggest; I sometimes see photographers on Instagram sharing their nature photos, so I'd like to suggest that in the future you could offer a subscription service where you could, for example, sign up to follow a nature photographer and automatically receive a new photo once a week. The price would of course need to be reasonable — for example, a yearly subscription at €10 for a new photo every week, or €20 for a new photo every day. It would need to be cheap either way, otherwise people won't bother subscribing, since they can already get it for free if they're willing to upload the photos themselves.
So that was my first experience with my new Fraimic. I'd wish I had the larger model, but that will have to wait until the price comes down closer to what the small one costs now.
Simply amazing! Works as advertised and is framed beautifully. While I love the AI feature, it is also the easiest way to display vacation and family photos.
This is the best photo frame. Lots of storage, free AI generation, and great community making it better every day.
I'm blown away by the quality and design of this product! Some other frames I've had/seen don't compare to the quality and display of Fraimic. And the ability to create art in the home has brought so much joy and creativity to my family!
Every time I look at the wall, my eyes light up because of the Fraimic. I really like it because I can display my photos on it—photos I can even edit using AI. I had a few issues at the start, but customer support helped me quickly so I could get it up and running and hang it on the wall for everyone to see.
I love this frame. I love E-ink because it is just like a picture, with no cords and uses no power except to change the photo. I love that this one can create your own art from voice prompts. Very cool!
It arrived well packaged and quickly once shipped. The packaging itself is excellent and the setup instructions are printed on the inside of the box lid as well as the inserted instruction booklet. Setup was a breeze took less then 5 minutes. The internal app website on the unit was simple to navigate and uploading pictures was easy as clicking. The different art styles for your pictures that can be applied are a bonus as well. As far as the unit itself it is pristine and looks like a piece of art when hanging. I recommend a well lit wall or an art light above it. It generates AI art fast and quickly when using voice your vision. You cannot however generate any art that contains copyrighted characters with the AI service built in like Disney characters. You can however generate and upload your own from your PC or phone though using other AI tools. That being said I highly recommend buying one and I plan to get the large one soon as well. For me it’s a 10/10 or a 5/5 stars. It looks like a fine art print and the comments friends and family have given me are all high praise for it. Just buy one you won’t regret it. I am showing two pictures I generated. One with the voice your vision system and one I AI generated on my computer and uploaded. The Chicago skyline on the fourth was generated on the Fraimic by talking to it. The second one with looney tunes characters on the fourth I generated and uploaded to it. They both look like fine art prints framed. I love this tech.
Just received and the whole family love it. The picture looks like a painting and not just a digital picture. Cant wait till my large comess in. Very excited
Within minutes after opening the box, my Fraimic was ready to go. Among thee first prompts I gave it was to get an ink drawing of a castle with a moat lined with trees in the English countryside. Within a few minutes, the frame magically displayed the image. I was hooked. Over the next days, I uploaded many of my own images to the frame. I now update it several times each week. We've shown it to guests who have also created their images through their voice. It's been an art piece and a conversation piece.
This is my absolute favorite new piece of tech! It's so cool to be able to swap out artwork based on the vibe each day. Plus, I wasn't expecting the artwork creation function to be so cool. I can't stop creating new work with just a voice prompt. We're living in the future!
I love my Fraimic. I have created so many wonderful and unique pictures since receiving it. Even brought it to work today let my coworkers have a go at it. Sooo much fun! So glad i got in on the Kickstsrter campaign.
I've backed a few Kickstarter projects, but this one is a gem. I can't believe how accurate the AI is in creating beautiful masterpieces. Created one of a Ragamuffin cat looking up at a cardinal in a pine tree - and the cat is almost identical to our actual Ragamuffin cat.
Science fiction is alive and it has appeared in an amazing product called Fraimic. Fraimic is your picture and frame that is as elaborate or as simple as you want it ot be. Send your favorite photos to it. Talk to your frame, and let it's AI create your imagination. Or pick from hundreds of stock photos on the Fraimic website (such as famous paintings from the MET Collection.
The whole process is surreal, but also real. Fraimic comes in two sizes. I purchased the smaller size, and regret not starting off with the larger size (24x36 vs 14x18 frame).
It has won several awards: "The Chicago-based company, founded by Anthony Mattana, received this recognition for its gallery-ready E Ink display that allows users to generate and refine AI artwork via voice commands. The award was announced on April 22, 2026, and the Smart Canvas also previously won the BIG SEE Product Design Award 2026 and two European Product Design Awards in 2025. "
It is a no brainer, you need this in your art collection!!
The best decision I ever made backing Fraimic on Kickstarter. I have a couple for home and a couple for the clinic I work with. I've made several at home using the voice to vision feature and anxiously waited to see what AI does. Patients at the clinic are also making some unique pictures. I ask them about activities they like, places they want to go, etc and then build the picture. The first picture was great. The patient wanted to learn how to snowboard and always wanted to see a volcano. So, I created a picture of a snowboarder skiing down a lava flow with the volcano in the background. Perfect.
Impressed every time with wonderful colors. The Fraimic App also provides access to many pictures from MET. Wonderful - wonderful pictures. Beyond happy.
Our family has quickly fallen in love with the Fraimic! We have it placed in a common space and enjoy seeing the art created by our kids and their friends. The image quality is very good, perfect brightness, and the clean look of the frame itself blends well with decor. Great job Fraimic!
This thing is so dope!
My friends all are envious. It looks great on my wall; and I can have practically any type of Godzilla painting I want on my wall now.
Kickstarted the small frame and wish I had gotten more at the time. Absolutely addictive and just a beautiful, well-designed product. Uploaded images are crisp and the AI does a great job with little direction. No one that has seen it believes it isn't physical art. Can't recommend enough.
