Fraimic utilizes the brand new state of the art Spectra 6 display by E Ink, delivering vivid full color and natural tones without glare or harsh backlighting.

The E Ink display only uses power when changing the display, consuming zero power during static display. The battery charges via the Type-C port on the back.
Battery life depends on the frequency of screen refreshes. On our 14"" x 18"" SKU, a single charge can generally last at least 5 years. Even when the battery depletes, the frame retains the last displayed image.

There are two ways to create and update content on Fraimic:
1. Using our simple website fraimic.com/upload, you can effortlessly browse a curated art gallery, upload your own images and access images you've uploaded in the past. The site supports multi-user management, making it ideal for the whole family. It also auto calibrates, crops and orients your image to ensure a perfect fit printing to Fraimic.
2. Using our proprietary ""Voice-To-Vision"" AI art enginer powered by OpenAI. Simply tap the bottom right corner of the matte, tell fraimic what you want to see and tap once more. A beautiful piece of art will be printed based upon your voice prompt alone!

We will offer an official Home Assistant integration for seamless setup and usage. Additionally, our API will be open to developers for custom automation and integration.

Honestly, we hate that we have to charge even this much! Fraimic's price is dictated by the unit cost of E Ink's Spectra 6 displays, which are not cheap. This is the lowest possible price we can offer without completely running our business into the ground! Our hope with Fraimic is that its success will unlock more affordable unit pricing of the Spectra 6 displays and thusly allow us to bring unit costs down on future offerings.

We've designed Fraimic to easily pop out of the included Frame and into any frame you desire! Fraimic was designed to be a smart e ink canvas, not a smart Frame.

You don't need to pay any additional fees to use our site—all basic features are permanently free.
We provide a fixed number of 100 free AI image generation credits every year. If you require additional credits, you can contact us atinfo@fraimic.comto purchase more credits. You can also subscribe to our premium membership for extra usage. WIth our premium membership, you will receive a curated one of a kind gallery of images/art that is completely based upon images/art you have uploaded in the past, the ability to update your fraimic with a new piece of art at the time you desire, plus first access to exlcusive featured artists and creators.

All data is securely stored on AWS with encryption. Additionally, local upload via a local connection is available for those who prioritize keeping data entirely offline.

You can start by selecting a reward tier, then add the additional products you want through the add-on options.

Both sizes are expected to ship in Q2 of 2026. We will do our best to ship ahead of schedule, and any adjustments will be promptly updated to everyone.

We are able to ship to the vast majority of countries worldwide. Our Campaign page lists most countries along with their corresponding shipping fees. If your country isn’t on the list, please contact us for confirmation. After the campaign, we will send out a survey to collect shipping addresses and the appropriate shipping fees.

We provide a one-year warranty for any manufacturing defects. Our product is undergoing extensive testing, and we will also implement an over-the-air (OTA) update system to promptly address and fix any software issues.

Our device uses a built-in rechargeable lithium battery with a common pin connector. However, we do not recommend people to replace batteries on their own.

Currently, uploading images requires the device and app to be on the same Wi-Fi network. We made this choice to conserve battery life. In the future, we plan to explore other remote solutions.

Battery life varies based on how often you change the images. For light usage (1 change/day), our 14"x18" SKU can last up to 5 years. Yes, you can continue using and refreshing images even while the frame is charging via the type-c port.

Yes, if your frame is placed horizontally and you send a potrait image to it or describe an image using our Voice-To-Vision tech, the image will be rotated 90 degrees to landscape orientation

We support most mainstream static image formats via our app: JPG, JPEG, PNG. Animated formats like GIF are not supported at this time due to E-Ink refresh limitations.

Yes, all basic features—including uploading images, Voice-To-Vision, and managing the frame—are free. AI art generation is optional and comes with limited free credits, with extra credits available via contacting us

Fraimic uses the latest E Ink Spectra 6 technology, capable of displaying up to 65,000 distinct colors. It is already the best color eink technology currently available on the market regarding color saturation, contrast, and tone accuracy. The display is capable to display images at Black/White/Red/Yellow/Blue/Green depending on the display controller and the associated waveform file it used

Here's the issue that every product utilizing an e-ink display will run into when interfacing with external storage devices like SD cards and USB Drives:

1. Conversion
E Ink's spectra 6 can't display .jpg, or .png's like a regular LCD display can. A very specific conversion needs to occur which involves converting that image into a BMP file so it can talk nicely with the Spectra 6. In addition, the BMP isn't a regular BMP you can just convert to using any conversion tool, it needs to contain the properties specific to the Spectra 6 display. So unless the SD card or stick you're plugging into Fraimic has those images formatted exactly to right Spectra 6 properties, they will not display

2. Slideshows
E ink has a refresh rate of several seconds to print the image in rich, texture like ink to paper quality it is trying to display. This means there's no real ability for an e ink screen to quickly cycle through images like you'd see on a standard LCD picture frame. So having a bunch of images on an external drive and then plugging it in won't give you a slideshow effect that you might be desiring.

3. Cost / Durability / Difficulty accessing
More components means higher costs and more pieces to break. Most people will have Fraimic hung in places where reaching up and plugging in an SD card will be tough to get at. Not to mention it's important for us to optimize Fraimic to be as afforable as possible. This is a brand new tech and it is very expensive. Pricing it at an accessible MSRP for our customers is really really important to me.

THE SOLUTION:
1. A simple mobile site that allows you to upload any image you want and have our engine quickly convert, optimize and print your image on Fraimic in its highest quality.
2. A feature to locally connect to Fraimic over a local WiFi connection (no internet needed) and airdrop. This is for customers who do not want to operate over a WiFi connection. NOTE: This will require you to convert your image in advance which we will provide a BMP conversion tool for.

Our mobile site will allow you to access several images/paintings (including ones you uploaded in the past), schedule updates, create transition times and do just about everything you'd desire via an SD card or USB stick.

Of course! Fraimic at its core is a versatile, multi year battery e ink display for sharing the art you love and the photos you treasure. You can upload whatever image you want to Fraimic. AI only comes into play when you utilize our "Voice-To-Vision" creation feature. We do not use your images you upload or create to train our models and we allow you to completely disable the Voice-To-Vision feature should you desire as peace of mind.

Nope, Fraimic aims to fight "AI slop" by offering expertly crafted style presets to elevate simple prompts into stunning, cohesive works of art. Users can explore a curated library of aesthetics or design their own signature look—ensuring every image they speak into existence reflects their personal taste with consistency and sophistication.

We're still finalizing weight on both products. But at the moment our early estimates are telling us 10 - 15 lbs for 14x18 and 20 - 30 lbs for 24x36. So nothing heavier than a standard frame!

Fraimic uses advanced color E Ink technology, which is designed to look and feel like real paper. Just like a traditional art print or photo, it relies on ambient light in the room—so in bright or normal lighting conditions, it looks beautiful and glare-free.

In darker or low-light settings, the display itself doesn’t emit light (by design, to avoid the harsh glow of screens). That means visibility will be similar to any piece of printed art—you’ll want some room lighting or a nearby lamp to see it clearly. Many customers actually prefer this, since it keeps Fraimic feeling natural and blends seamlessly into a space without the “screen” look.
